Hi and thanks in advance for any input.
I have a 2003 Bavaria 38. It was a slip queen when I got her 2 years ago and now she is almost a blue-water boat. My next project is to change the table in the saloon to an adjustable-height table so that the saloon can have a wide berth for 1 or a close berth for 2. I think it is the only place that one could also practically put in a lee cloth.
Have you done a similar project? If so, how did you do it (not the adjustable table, the lee cloth)?
This is my current thinking:
1. The table has to clear the wood for the seats by about 1/4-1/8". I will put some fasteners for the lee cloth under the lip of the wood horizontally, or if it doesn't hang out enough, under that attached vertically.
2. I'll cut the lee cloth to fit just inside the fore-aft open space along the starboard side seat, fastened to the fasteners below,
3. I'll have places to tie the upper part of the cloth fore and aft at the bulkhead and on the wine-holder just ahead of the nav station.
Any thoughts anyone?
Again, thanks in advance.
