Greetings
I'm a new member of the forum with my first post.
I have a 38 Cruiser, 2006 vintage and am experiencing notchy steering which I suspect is to do with the friction lock.
Can anyone advise how to free this up please?
Thanks in anticipation.
Regards
Nick

Put oil in the rubber tube , best done before you lift out oil runs around bearing frees it up.

Re: Cruiser 38 (2006) 'notchy' steering
I have a Bavaria 36 with the same notchy feel to the steering. This notchiness has only occurred in the last couple of months. Does it mean that the bearing(s) on the rudder have already failed?
I will try putting oil down the rudder tube and see if this works.
Has any one else had this problem and how was it resolved?
