I visited this new Bavaria at the Miami Boat show. These are just quick comments that come to mind.

As an owner of a Regal 35 Sport Coup, I felt comfortable that Bavaria included all the features I am used to and more. The two-copilot seats is a major upgrade to the Admiral, as she does not have a good position to stay while watching the ride. The R40 gives the feel of a newly designed modern boat, the single glass windshield, the captain door and the optional interior and exterior lights give a special touch. But there are also weaknesses, the boat does not offer an nice open aft sun pad and seems to lack storage at the bowl for lines and fenders.

What I liked:
1) two copilot chairs,
2) center beam owner suite complete with vast storage,
3) two heads, both with separate showers,
4) sliding door modes, allowing connection of saloon seats with aft seats,
5) Bimini at fly-bridge can be folded, helping go under more bridges and not having to wait the opening time,
6) Digital dash board with most of the boat controls at hand,
7) I/O drive rather than IPS (specially for me given that I boat on relatively shallow waters),
8) Competitively priced,
9) The wiring converges to under the stairs that lead to the cabin. This seems a great decision for ease of servicing and troubleshooting.

What I did not like
1) TV in saloon is supported by a bracket and cannot be put out of eyesight
2) Two zone Fusion sound without subwoofer, just four speakers
3) I prefer the coupe over the fly design because I am used to open the sunroof while in the galey
4) There isn't enough conveniently placed cup holders

I took these pictures of the refrigerator during the show. It is built-in the cabinet in the saloon, I liked the fact that the ice area is properly sealed as opposed to just a basic plastic door as in most small refrigerators. The size and containers are also nice points.
