Re: New Member Introduction
We have a 2014 Bavaria C37. Purchased in 2015 from Bavaria yachts, Annapolis. We were one of the last sales before Bavaria pulled out the brand from the US in 2016. A little worried after they pulled out of the US, but glad to see them at recent shows. Hopefully, they can establish a broader dealer...

Re: Maintaining and Cleaning Teak
I have a friend that was using teak oil regularly. The black joint started to degrade leaving black marks on the teak. I also noticed that the teak on his boat swim platform became quite slippery when wet.
He stopped the practice, his teak and joints are looking good (normal) now.

Re: Gediz
My Bavaria R40 coupe should be delivered a month from now. Based on your experience, I am wondering if there are recommendations you could give to check out during the delivery and any other "watch outs". I also curious if the small door for the engine room has proven adequate for your routine checks.

Re: Welcome!
My boat is scheduled for December, I can't wait!!!
Fortunately the dealer allowed me to keep my former boat until the R40 is delivered, this is a good approach.

Re: Loose Stanchions
The previous owners forum, that seems to have been taken down, had a number of owners that have developed solutions and dealt with loose and leaking stanchions on their boats. Does anyone here have any fixes they have developed? Generally they are attached with bolts and held by nuts underneath. If...
